Feargal Halligan is an Irish born and raised Experience Designer and Digital Brand Manager who moved to Brooklyn, NY in 2010.
He built his first computer from a kit in 1981, far too young to understand that he was engaging in what would eventually become known as a digital user experience.
A few years later in 1985, he hand drew his first poster for a local punk gig, unaware that what he was engaging in was graphic design with a touch of layout and typography.
So in the early 90s he got a degree in Visual Communications, and worked a few years in Hamburg, and Hong Kong back when it was a Colony. He worked on everything from old Newspaper TV listings to interactive museums, from TV and Film credit sequences and animation to packaging for soft drinks and candy bars, and also taught himself HTML and CSS, which in turn led him to UCD processes.
By the early 2000s he was designing large scale web applications in the UK and Ireland, and developing his own UCD and service planning approaches. He was also helping to run Ireland's first 3GPP TV show from a small office in Dublin, and collaborating online with musicians and artists.
The mid 2000s brought the iPhone, and Feargal joined Telefonica O2 Ireland for exclusive access while they were bringing live music broadcast and online ticketing into their services, helping to create the web infrastructure for their massive buy in to live music in the late 2000s.
He left O2 to go freelance in 2010, and Since then it's been service planning and UX for mobile all the way, with an emphasis on travel and hospitality.

Between visual design and product psychology, however, Feargal also has a strong understanding of narrative and language, context and semantics. His family and friends make films and are film critics, and he is married to a playwright and author. He enjoys and makes comics, and travels between NYC and Mexico city, his two favourite places in the world.
These things and more combine to make Feargal an excellent User Experience consultant, a Veteran Mobile UI Designer and someone with clear, tested methodology and a deep insight into how people use products and experience brands.

The movie above is his 2013 showreel. It's a bit old, but it still communicates the basics.
His older portfolio and his older, older portfolio are still online.
He's pretty easy to contact using the form below but if you're in some kind of hurry you can also call him in the US on 347 425 6474 - he's pretty busy though so it's probably best to drop a line first and arrange a call.
